Interim Program Manager, Getting to Know Japan

Alex Chou is a master’s student at the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University. He currently serves as the Director for Student Relations at YCAPS to foster grassroots connections and policy dialogue among students and young professionals. Alex is also the Acting Program Manager for the Getting to Know Japan webinar series, hosting webinars to introduce Japan-based US Military personnel and their families to a variety of topics related to Japanese culture and society.   Alex was born in the United States, raised in Taiwan, and lived in Japan for around three years. He holds a BA from Waseda University’s School of International Liberal Studies, with a concentration on International Relations. His studies primarily focus on US foreign and defense policies in the Indo-Pacific and cross-Strait relations. As a fan of the political drama "Madam Secretary," Alex is extremely passionate about foreign affairs and US politics, and is pursuing a career in related fields.
