As Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia undergoes lockdowns and restrictions of movement orders in response to COVID-19, our packages were slightly delayed in getting to the homeless shelters. However, our Tsagaan Sar (Lunar New Year) giftbags got there in time for the celebration! While the mothers were happy to receive more winter clothes, shoes, and blankets for their families, the children were delighted to receive American-made candies. The next shipment of donations includes school supplies and snacks, offered in partnership with local teachers. We expect these supplies to arrive in the next few weeks, enabling the children to prepare their school work from home.
