On January 31st, YCAPS welcomed Dr. Kyoko Hatakeyama of the University of Niigata to speak in Sasebo on the importance and volatility of the Senkaku Islands. It ws an engaging and informative talk in a relaxed environment with a great lecture and Q&A session after an informal reception encouraging conversation and networking by attendees.
