On December 19th, 2024, YCAPS hosted a lunch seminar with Dr. Ted Gover director of the Tribal Administration Certificate Program at Claremont Graduate University. The discussion centered on what the second Trump administration would mean for countries like Japan and the Indo-Pacific region at large. The talk delved further into potential changes or continuity for US foreign policy in the context of the strategic challenges, and opportunities in navigating the evolving landscape in the Indo-Pacific region
In addition to his initial remarks, Dr. Gover engaged with the audience by answering questions and discussing the issues further. This lunch session offered an invaluable opportunity for policymakers, scholars, and enthusiasts to gain deep insights into the intricate dynamics of the Indo-Pacific region as the US undergoes a change in leadership.
The talk was moderated by Dr. Stephen Nagy, YCAPS Director of Policy Studies and held at Döbrögi in Akasaka, Tokyo.
