YCAPS' Michael Bosack: Success or failure for Abe in Tehran?

YCAPS' Michael Bosack​ recently published a commentary on Prime Minister Abe's visit to Iran. While one may see the explosion of oil tanks as a sign of failure of the mediation, he argues that Abe, as a mediator of the US-Iran tensions, to great extent fulfill his role. That is, he successfully facilitated communications and prompted the Iranians to signal important messages related to negotiations.
