Gretchen Sotebeer

Program Analyst

Gretchen Sotebeer is currently a Children and Youth Program (CYP) Assistant working at US Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan. She has a strong passion for intercultural relations between Japan and the US, having previously worked at a language school as an English teacher in Nagasaki and Sasebo. Prior to working in Nagasaki, she attended Temple University Japan Campus, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in International Affairs. Her studies were primarily focused on East-Asian politics and security. Her passion for security led her to become a National Security Instructor in Washington DC immediately after graduation. In the future, she hopes to pursue her passion for international affairs and security with a career in a related field.
