YCAPS & the Sasakawa Peace Foundation are pleased to announce the next event in the Community Conversations seminar series in Misawa! This event will feature Dr. James D.J. Brown, Professor of Political Science at Temple University, Japan Campus, who will join us to discuss the threat that Russia poses to Japanese security.

With the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Russia demonstrated that it poses a major threat to European security. However, what about in East Asia? This talk assesses the threat that Russia poses to Japanese security, not only in terms of military security, but also in terms of espionage and cyber security.

This event will be a Hybrid Online/In-person event in Misawa. For those in Misawa, there will be a reception with food and drinks before the seminar begins. For those joining us online, the webinar will begin at 18:30 JST
