Toshio Fukuhara (福原利夫)

In the fall of 2023, I came out of retirement to start assisting YCAPS Japan in accounting, tax, audit, legal, compliance and government affairs.

I'm retired from financial services; turnaround management (bailing out troubled companies), tangible and intangible assets valuation (where I covered the world for Japanese multinationals), investment banking (M&As), Capital Markets (underwriting bonds and institutional equity brokerage) and non-life Insurance (where I was involved in start-up situation for an American insurer).

Working for an Indonesian conglomerate, I was also co-leader of a paper mill equipment relocation project from Ibaraki Prefecture to six mills in Indonesia and mainland China.

I worked in Tokyo, NYC and Sydney, Australia and spent time in Europe where I was mandate-hunting for Samurai and Euro-Yen bond issues.
